Itinerary
Day ( 1 ) Sara to Markha Trek
EXPLORE TO GANGOTRI
- Explore to Gangotri Temple, musem, Surya, kund
- Overnight stay in hotel.
Day ( 2 ) Markha to Humker 11 kms trek
GANGOTRIN TO BHOJ KHARAK
- Trek commences from Gangotri, located at an altitude of 3,048 meters. On the first day, you will trek through picturesque forests and lush green meadows, witnessing the awe-inspiring beauty of the Himalayas. The trail gradually ascends to Bhoj Kharak, situated at an altitude of 3,930 meters.
Day ( 3 ) Humker to Nimaling 12 kms trek
THE TREKKING TRAIL
- As you embark on the second day, you’ll traverse through rocky terrains and breathtaking landscapes. The trail leads you to Kedar Kharak, situated at an altitude of 4,410 meters. The mesmerizing views of the surrounding peaks and the gushing sound of rivers make this leg of the trek truly unforgettable.
Day ( 4 ) Nimaling to Base Camp 5 km trek
CLOSE VIEW OF MOUNTAIN RANGES
There is a 5 km trek from Kedar Kharak to reach Kedar Tal which takes 4-5 hours and most of the route is covered by moraines and glaciers. If trekking in June you will have to cross an icy cold water creek before Kedar Tal. Trekking may have to be done on snow for the last few kilometers before crossing. Climb the rocky terrain and keep following the cairn signs to make sure you’re on the right track.
After climbing the final ridge Kedar Bamak Glacier comes in the view along with its glacial lakes the foot of Mt. Bharigupanth and Mt. Thalaysagar merges with the Kedar Bamak Glacier an hour futher into the trek reveals a beautiful high altitude lake the immakulate Kedartal the view of Thalaysagar peak reflecting on the stiil water of Kedartal is mesmerizing
Day ( 5 ) Acclimatization at Base Camp stoon Summit day
DAY PATANGINI DHAR
- Today is a short hike but with good incline since there is sleep climb involved for Patangini Dhar we will Camp at its base on a hanging ridge and get acclimatised for next days touth climb
Day ( 6 ) Summit and rest Day
BACK TO RUDUGAIRA NALA CAMP
- After breakfast, trek to Nala camp
- Overnight stay at tents.
Day ( 7 ) Base camp to lah Kangmarulu paass 15 kms trek
DEPATURE DAY
- Morning after breakfast trek to Gangotri
- Departure day.
