Great Adventure Gangotri (GAG) is an adventure-based travel company established in 2015. It is owned and operated by Saurabh Singh Rana, a certified mountaineer from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM). He has successfully completed the Basic Mountaineering Course (BMC), Advanced Mountaineering Course (AMC), Search & Rescue (S&R), and Method of Instruction (MOI). He is also certified by the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) and has climbed several 6000m and 7000m peaks.
With a deep passion for the mountains, Saurabh ensures that every traveler experiences the Himalayas in the best possible way. He is supported by a highly experienced team of local guides, porters, and Sherpas who have extensive knowledge and expertise in organizing safe and memorable treks and expeditions.
In addition to trekking, GAG also organizes Char Dham Yatra and homestay experiences tailored to your convenience.
We employ only well-trained, responsible, and skilled professionals who have successfully led numerous trips across North India. All our trips include delicious vegetarian meals and are guided by experienced professionals fluent in both English and Hindi, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable journey.

Adesh Singh Rana, and my journey into trekking and mountaineering began with inspiration from my brother, Saurabh Singh Rana, who started his trekking career in 2015. Watching his passion for the mountains made me curious about why people feel so deeply connected to the Himalayas.
In 2017, I completed my first trek to Gaumukh–Tapovan, which turned out to be a life-changing experience. It helped me understand the true beauty and adventure of the mountains. Inspired by this, I decided to pursue mountaineering more seriously.
In 2018, I completed my Basic Mountaineering Course, followed by the Advanced Mountaineering Course, which strengthened my technical skills and confidence in the mountains. As my interest grew, I continued exploring new trekking routes and adventure activities.
In 2019, I moved to Udaipur to gain practical experience in adventure activities, where I spent two months learning and working in the field. After that, I completed my Search & Rescue course, enhancing my ability to handle challenging situations and ensure safety during expeditions.
With this experience, I decided to focus on my own work and expanded my journey to Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, where I explored and successfully conducted several treks.
Today, I actively operate across North India and have experience leading and organizing 86+ treks, many of which I have personally explored. My goal is to provide safe, memorable, and meaningful experiences to every traveler who wishes to explore the Himalayas.
